Its true what they say everything always comes at once. Last week I applied for quiet a few jobs, expecting most of them not to get back to me. I was wrong. I had an interview at few days ago and was offered the job yesterday in this fancy restaurant in Carins called the Water bar that are offering full time hours (35) and pay $19.39 an hour, the only down fall is that they don't pay more for Saturdays or Sundays sadly... one plus is that I'd be working with my friend Gemma and they also feed you meal a day.
Then today I had an interview at this balinese place called bay leaf, which are offering full time hours too but there full time hours are 40 hours a week, which is better for me. They also pay $21 a hour normal time and pay over $25 for Saturdays and Sundays... so this would work out to be substantially more than the Water Bar and probably more reliable. Although it would mean I have to do some breakfast shifts a few times a week starting at 6am. Also the manager is actually the owner, I know how stressed they can get. Although he does seem pretty nice and genuinely interested in my interests too. I reckon I'll get this job, the interview went really well and he seemed to really like me.
On Monday I also have an interview at this car rental being a rental agent. I'm not sure about the pay with this job I'll have to find out on monday, but if I get this job it means it would be day time hours and I could probably still work at Dundees, which is what I would prefer as I do really like it there. In addition I have an interview lined up at the end of next week for this marketing company doing sales, they told me they on average make between $200-$300 a day, but I really don't know much about this... these sales jobs can be a lot of hard work without much reward, so obviously I'll have to find out more in the interview.
Either way, I don't really know what the hell to do? Do I go for the best money where I think I'll enjoy it? Do I go for where I know I'll like it or do I just stick to what I know and hope I find a day time job eventually? Decisions decisions! Hmmm. If only I had all these options when I first arrived in Cairns.
